A clean comedian in the 70's, he stood out and with stood the test of time. His observational style has always been fresh and breezy. This kid from South Philly has kept audiences laughing for more than thirty years.
Brenner did a joke way back on the Night Show with Carson. The joke had "tankity tank" in it but that is all that I remember. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

NO! This guy is not funny... Does no one remember May 17, 1989 at the Riviera? Brenner was found in his hotel room in a pile of coke, with 7 dead Saigon whores, countless spray cans of PAM, and a transvestite named Ruben. After his coke binge the dude disappeared and now he has come back and is more a statistician than a comedian. He says he wants to heal with humor but it seems like he’s using 9/11 to be famous again. And why is a book titled “Soft Pretzels with Mustard” a stroke of a genius? I don’t get it, he is not funny any more and should quit. David Brenner is a very funny comic.If you see his HBO special called Back With a Vengeance you will laugh your fu**ing ass off! But, no one can seem to get a hold of that special, why?
