Jack Benny

Benny’s stage persona was famous for its miserliness and for his insistence on playing the violin badly. Among many comic mannerisms Benny perfected were an effeminate walk and a long, ultra-long stare at the camera as he endured many intended from the cast of characters and the occasional guest star. Jack was the idol and model for many of todays top comedians including Johnny Carson.
